A bag of nails and a Rotary straw bale does the trick at Perth Show

After twelve hours of continuous heavy rain we eventually set up the stand at 11am on Friday morning more in hope than expectation. However the weather improved and although Friday was much quieter than last year it was still worth while being there. Saturday dawned a much better day and the crowds rolled in and we were busy all day. We received a donation of a huge box of chewing gum from Radio Tay and that along with the sweeties meant that everyone left the stand with a smile on their face.

We had over 500 taking part over the two days and many more being aware of our presence at the show. We all enjoyed the fellowship and it was a fun thing to do.

Some Facts -- There were 250 6 inch nails weighing 8kg. The straw bale weighed 200kg There were about 20 winners each winning £5. We gave away about 600 sweeties. After expenses the total raised was £310.
