We were visited this month by Kay Goodman, chairman of our Inner Wheel district. We started the meeting with a photo quiz where we attempted to match photos with towns in district 1 that have Inner Wheel clubs.
After our meal Kay talked to us in very encouraging terms about our contributions as an Inner Wheel club in District 1. In her own words, "You may be small in numbers but you are big in enthusiasm." She was interested to hear about some of our more recent activities and in particular our decision to make this a year of hands-on service.
We will be celebrating Christmas early when we meet in December in a different venue.
Our representatives at the District curling bonspiel reported that it was, as ever, an enjoyable occasion. We have received greetings from the International Chairman of District A62 in Australia, and also some invitations to other events. More details are available from the secretary.
