At our January meeting our speaker was Les Paskin from the Salvation Army. He talked to us about the work of the Salvation Army in Perth, and particularly
the work of the Skinnergate hostel which they run as a resettlement unit for homeless men, and their furniture re-use project.
After some discussion, we agreed to start investigating ways of fundraising so that we can donate a Shelterbox, having seen how essential they are proving in Haiti.
We have invitations to several events in our District. More details are available from the secretary.
