Our Christmas night out together did not take place as planned due to the quantity of snow and ice clogging up central Perth. We hope to have a meal out when the weather is kinder!
At our January meeting we heard from Christine Sloan about the conversion of some deserted barns at Crathie to provide holiday accommodation for disabled people.
We had a change of speaker in February to that planned. Rona Archibald came to tell us about a recent visit to Palestine and the Holy Land. She was able to learn about the difficult issues of land ownership and meet various organisations working to promote greater harmony and justice.
She had a wonderful selection of slides which she showed us.
We are hoping to hold a coffee morning in Perth in late May or early June, following the success of last year's event.
We were delighted to realise that we have already raised enough money to donate a ShelterBox. A cheque will be posted within the week. ShelterBox is a charity that we are very happy to support.
